So you are considering moving to Colorado Springs! The first thing you
need to do is study the neighborhoods and schools. I can send you an
online relocation guide that defines all the neighborhoods in Colorado
Springs. I can also send you a map that breaks down the 185.7 square
miles of Colorado Springs into "sub areas". I can also send you a
school report that breaks down each school district by test scores and
demographics.
|
 |
The next thing you will want to do is search for homes in the "sub areas"
that you like. If this is confusing to you, please call. We were
also new to Colorado Springs at one time, so we understand. Our map
really helps show all the "sub areas". There are so many great areas
to live here in Colorado Springs. For |
|
example, you can live in the mountains and enjoy the mountain living, or you
can live east and enjoy the open space, acreage and stellar views of the
mountains. Or you can enjoy the "city life" by living in a loft over
the commercial district in downtown Colorado Springs.

Here is my list of favorite hotels to refer to my
clients:
- Antlers Hotel~ is downtown
Colorado Springs. I really like this hotel for it's location and
convenience to viewing the city. The Antlers is not only one of
the oldest hotels in town, but it is attached
|
- to two corporate towers with dining and shops inside. Take a
walk across the street to Phantom Canyon or "The Famous" and you can
enjoy fine dining and some entertainment. The Famous is more
upscale, with a fabulous piano bar on Friday nights.
- The Broadmoor Hotel~ clearly
the 5 star it is touted to be. When you stay as a guest you get to
play this world class golf course, which is reason enough to stay just
to play that course! Slated for the 2008 US Open, great time to
come check out our real estate market and play some golf!
-
Springhill Suites by Marriot are also less expensive but very close
to the Colorado Springs airport. This location is nice and central
as well as in a new and emerging commercial strip.
-
Homewood Suites by Hilton is also a nice place to land if you need
to stay on the north end of town.
- Furnished Homes for Rent by the Week~
Luxury homes that are available for short term stay throughout Colorado
Springs.
- Express Inn - 473-5330

When you come to house hunt you also have to check out some of our great
attractions. Colorado Springs has the best out-door recreation.
One of my favorites that you can do inside the car and within 15 minutes is
to drive through Garden of the Gods. Head towards Manitou Springs and
you can follow the signs to the park. You may also decide |
|
to stay and walk the streets of the charming and artsy town of Manitou
Springs. If you make reservations for the Cog Railway, you can sit and
watch the beautiful scenery go by as you make a vertical assent to the top
of Pikes Peak. My favorite way to get to the top because no one gets
car sick and no one has to drive! |
